Treviso DNA
Pinarello was born from disappointment when Italian cyclist Giovanni Pinarello finished dead last in the Giro d'Italia, earning the infamous black jersey. Asked by his team to step aside for a faster rider, he was paid 100,000 lire as compensation. In 1952, he used that cash to open his legendary Cicli Pinarello bike shop in Treviso, Italy, growing into a global icon through elite racing partnerships, revolutionary asymmetric carbon frames, and legendary Grand Tour victories.
